Land Stewardship — Democracy in Action Town Hall: Be a Healthcare Voter!

October 20, 2020 By Emily Minge

This election season, we need to fight for what our families and communities need, not for what corporate interests tell us to settle for. We need to hold our leaders at all levels accountable and demand to live in a state where everyone can experience a sense of well being and thrive. Watch our recent virtual town hall with LSAF endorsed candidates where we came together to share, listen, and discuss our shared interest in affordable and accessible Healthcare for all Minnesotans.

Land Stewardship — Democracy in Action Town Hall: Be a Voter for Rural Communities!

October 15, 2020 By Emily Minge

The Land Stewardship Action Fund recognizes that this is a time of compounding crisis for farmers and rural communities. If we are going to support small to mid-sized farming and keep it viable, we need to come together now across our communities to elect leaders who will fight to protect the family-sized farms that we have now, who will push for more just farm economic policies that will help get more young and diverse folks who want to farm on the land, and who will fight for a people-centered economy in Minnesota. Watch our Democracy in Action Town Hall: Be a Voter for Rural Communities where we talked with farmer members who understand the economic issues facing small and mid-sized farms and rural communities, and heard from candidates on the role the MN State Legislature can play in a solution.

The employee will engage with other staff, members, and public figures regularly throughout the workday. Because of COVID, this is a remote work position, so your work environment is up to you, but having a dedicated workspace and maintaining works hours reflective of office hours (M-F 9-5) is preferable. We will provide you with or support the technology necessary to complete your job duties. We have staff across the state. Our offices are in Lewiston,  Minneapolis, and Montevideo, MN but there is no residency requirement in those communities for this position. Because of our flexible work environment and the reach of our organization, individuals based elsewhere in Minnesota should apply
