You’re Invited: Town Hall with MN Attorney General Keith Ellison

September 2, 2026 By Heather Benson

Attorney General Keith Ellison wants to hear directly from people in west central Minnesota about the issues shaping their lives — including consolidation in agriculture, corporate power, and the barriers that make it harder for family farmers and rural communities to thrive. When we show up and speak from our lived experience, we help make sure public officials understand what is really happening on the ground.

Join us Saturday, Sept. 12, from noon to 2 p.m., at the Greg Fynboh Farm near Donnelly, Minn. (57002 180th St., Donnelly, MN). We’ll gather on the farm for lunch, conversation, and a chance to raise the issues that matter most to our communities. If you can join us, please RSVP for the town hall so we can plan for lunch and make sure there’s room for everyone.

What to Expect:

  • 11:30 a.m. – Arrival: Come early to settle in, grab a seat, and catch up with neighbors before the program begins.
  • NOON – Light Lunch: We’ll share a complimentary light lunch from The Common Cup, along with coffee and beverages, as the town hall gets underway.
  • Community Voices: We’ll begin with a short conversation featuring local community members naming the regional concerns they want the Attorney General to hear.
  • Town Hall and Q & A: Attorney General Ellison will share updates on the work his office is doing for Minnesotans, then the rest of the time will be open for questions and conversation with people in the room.

Why Your Voice Matters:
Attorney General Ellison wants to hear directly from people in west central Minnesota about the issues shaping their lives — including consolidation in agriculture, corporate power, and the barriers that make it harder for family farmers and rural communities to thrive. When we show up and speak from our lived experience, we help make sure public officials understand what is really happening on the ground.

Land Stewardship Action believes strong democracy starts from the ground up — with people coming together, asking hard questions, and holding decision-makers accountable to rural communities. This town hall is not a scripted presentation; it is a chance for you to bring your questions, concerns, and stories to the table.

We hope to see you on the farm for lunch, conversation, and a chance to make sure rural Minnesotans’ voices are heard.
