Land Stewardship Action was proud to be included as a featured speaker at Senator Bernie Sanders’ Town Hall in Mankato on Friday, August 2, alongside AFSCME and IBEW to speak to corporate consolidation and climate resiliency. Nearly 700 people attended the event.
Land Stewardship Policy Manager Amanda Koehler shared in her remarks: “If we are going to be serious about tackling the climate crisis and economic challenges rural working people face, we need our elected leaders to boldly take on corporate power and special interests in our farm and food system and build a resilient socioeconomic system in which small and mid-sized farmers and rural communities not only have a fair shake, but thrive.”
