Land Stewardship: Democracy in Action
This election season, we need to fight for what our families and communities need, not for what the opposition tells us to settle for. We need to hold our leaders at all levels accountable and demand to live in a state where everyone can experience a sense of wellbeing and thrive.
For example, when we have healthcare that allows us to care for loved ones without jumping through hoops or facing financial burdens, we’re able to put more energy into caring for our neighbors and broader community. When we’re able to cut corporations’ stranglehold on our state’s agricultural sector, we can subsidize healthy food, sustainable farming, and get more independent farmers on the land rather than factory farms and mega-cropping systems that deplete our soil. And when we’re able to advance soil health as part of the solution to climate change, we can make sure local communities have clean water and farmers have sustaining fair income while reducing climate pollution.
This is the better tomorrow we can have for ourselves and future generations, but we need to make sure everyone who shares this vision has a plan to vote in this upcoming election so we can make it a reality. That’s why we need people like you to join us in putting Democracy in Action!
