That’s why LSA wants to personally encourage you to make a plan to vote in your MN State House District’s Special Primary Election on December 16th. A strong voter turnout sends a message to elected officials that we care and that we’re paying attention.
When you do vote, we encourage you to cast your vote for Dan McGrath for State Representative in District 64A. Land Stewardship Action has endorsed Dan because he will be a leader from day one. Dan has led progressive grassroots campaigns for decades. He is an organizer. He brings people together through the kind of relationship building, dialogue, and gentle leadership that represent the best of democratic ideals. And just as important, he knows how to win on issues including affordable health care, quality public schools, and a fair shake for all working families.
And we’ve endorsed Dan because he understands what is needed in our food and farming system. He understands how corporate interests have put the squeeze on farmers, while they also hike prices and cut the quality of food on grocery store shelves. As a board member with Land Stewardship Project, he has worked hand in hand with farmers on campaigns and legislation that:
- Connects farmers and local school districts to get healthy, locally grown food into school lunches statewide.
- Gets more farmers on the land through training and support for emerging farmers.
- Supports practices that reduce climate impacts through regenerative farm practices.
- Holds agri-business accountable for practices that harm both farmers and Minnesota’s rural communities.
